Mindfulness Practice With Pig

This was a very lonely fight of nearly 2 years. After people have either ignored me or said that I can’t do this, that I was wrong, that I shouldn’t do this, that I should “move on”. But I was vindicated, and my art tells my story.

The woman is practising mindfulness. She has pink flowers on her head. She hopes the flowers make her pretty. She tries to focus on the here and now by touching the tips of her thumb and middle finger together. There is a big pig behind her. The pig is also practising mindfulness by touching the tips of its trotters together. Alugbati vines with ripe berries have grown around the pig. The pig likes to eat the leaves of this vine.

I made this painting when I tried mindfulness meditation to heal from the effects of maltreatment in psychotherapy. It didn’t really help because I was in very bad shape. The Psychologist exploited me in therapy, blamed me in his therapy reports, issued a threat via email and falsely claimed a Psychiatrist diagnosed me with Schizophrenia.
