Fatima was born in Sampaloc, Manila, educated in the Fine Arts with special interest in computers, law and music. She has exhibited, worked with artists and published internationally. In 2010 she settled in Bohol island as subsistence farmer on a small half-acre food forest. Fatima was married to pioneering British computer artist Trevor Batten.
