My paintings of animals and plants reflected the hard but wonderful life of a subsistence farmer. Yet my ex-therapist interpreted this farm life as a ‘poverty in relationship.’

The woman is wearing a brown piglet on her head. Her face is red because her emotions are overwhelming her. Perhaps the piglet is what is keeping her calm. There is a vine with white flowers behind her head.
After couple’s therapy, I started becoming violent towards my husband. I was breaking things in the house and hurting myself. I tried to hang myself with a rope used for weighing pigs.

I made this painting to express the difficulty I have with my emotions as a result of psychotherapy with a Psychologist who misrepresented his credentials and broke ethics rules.
