Waiting for Sunset

Now I am about to finish the final draft of a book of poetry. I asked my friends to look and comment. There was a very good comment from Ferdi. But I didn’t want to change the draft. I felt too exhausted.

But looking at the book again, it is a very important personal project. It’s a collection of forty-five poems that I wrote over five months. I included a few notes on the poetic form. I wrote the poems during a very difficult time in my life. I had an unbelievably stressful time finishing the first draft. I wanted to destroy all my work.

These are why I am exhausted. But it is a very important book for me and I should be thoughtful about it. So today, I am making changes to the draft of the book. I feel much better.

This afternoon I received a very kind and thoughtful message from Imeng, a friend from needlework. That brightened me considerably. Imeng expresses her admiration with an open heart. I very much like to do that too. I do it and sometimes I get hurt because I don’t get positive feelings in return. I get ignored sometimes. Perhaps people think I have too much ‘drama’ that gets in the way of their normal life. But a simple affectionate message could save someone’s life. Like what Imeng may have done for me.
