The Promises of God

I consult only one authority in all areas of my life now: the God of the Bible.

You’ve probably made a promise and broke that promise, as others have, numerous times. But God, He always fulfills a promise to us through our risen Jesus Christ. Do you know what those promises are? There are plenty, and to know them, just read the Bible. Here are a few.

If you want real transformation in a life that is weighed down by endless guilt and mistakes, God promised a new start:

‬‬Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new

‭‭II Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭NKJV

If you’re constantly struggling against worries, God promises peace:

‭‭Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Philippians‬ ‭4:6‭-‬7‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

If you can barely make ends meet because you no longer know what is essential and what isn’t, the God of the Bible promises to sustain us:

‭‭“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing? Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?

Matthew‬ ‭6:25‭-‬26‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Personally, I read the Bible everyday! I love knowing more and more about the one true God and all the promises He has made and fulfilled. This way, I have reasons to be thankful, hopeful and praise God everyday.
