WOMAN WITH LARGE BOAR, 2022
Fatima Lasay
9 W x 12 H inches, acrylic on watercolor paper 200gsm
The woman is holding a very large boar. She is proud and happy. The boar looks dangerous but it’s actually a very gentle boar. At the back are several cassava plants. The boar is fond of eating the leaves of those plants.
This boar’s name was Pinky. He was six years of age when I made this painting. He was born, bred, died and buried in my home farm. I am a livestock farmer. I love every animal I take care of. This gave meaning and purpose to my life.
